How do you play UNO?
In case you don’t know yet, in UNO Online, each player is dealt 7 cards, and the first player to get rid of all of them before the others wins the round. These cards are numbered from 1 to 9 and come in 4 different colors. To play a card, it must meet one of these two conditions:- It must be the same color as the last card played.
- Have the same number as the last card played.
In addition to the numbered cards, you’ll find other types of cards that change the game or that you can use to disrupt your opponents’ play:
- +2: This card can be any of the 4 colors, and you must play it after a card of the same color. When you play this card, you add two cards from the deck to the next player’s hand and cause them to skip their turn. This card cannot be countered.
- Reverse Card: This card can be any of the four colors, and you must play it after a card of the same color or type. When you play this card, the direction or order in which players take their turns is reversed.
- Skip Turn Card: This card can be any of the four colors, and you must play it after a card of the same color or type. When you play this card, the next player skips their turn.
- Wild Card or Color-Change Card: You can use this card after any card has been played. When you play it, you can choose the color of the card the next player must play.
- +3: You can use this card after any card has been played. When you play this card, you add three cards from the deck to the next player’s hand and cause them to skip their turn. Additionally, you may choose the color the next player must play. This card cannot be countered.
If at any point you don’t have any cards you can play, you must draw a card from the deck. If the card you draw doesn’t match the previous card in color, number, or type, you cannot play it and you lose your turn
. And don’t forget the most important rule of the game. When you’re playing and play your second-to-last card, you must immediately press the UNO button to let the others know you have one card left. If you don’t, you’ll be penalized with 2 cards from the deck.
When a player wins a round, they’ll earn as many points as the sum of the values of the cards remaining in the other players’ hands. The first player to reach 250 points wins the game.
Tips for Becoming the Best at Uno Online
To be the best at Uno Online, keep the following strategic recommendations in mind:
- Pay attention to your opponents: always keep track of the number of cards they have in their hand and the ones they’re playing.
- Save the +2 and +3 cards for emergencies. Don’t play them too early—you may need them if an opponent is about to run out of cards.
- Get rid of your high-value cards first. If you lose the game, high-value cards will give the winner more points.
- If you can, switch colors frequently.
- Use action cards wisely; they can turn the tide of a game even if you’re losing.
- Cooperate with other players to prevent anyone other than yourself from winning the game.
- And finally, play your cards strategically so that you always keep the widest possible variety of colors and numbers to be able to respond to any card your opponents play.
Did you know that Uno Online is based on a traditional card game?
The idea for the original card game emerged as an evolution of the game “Ochos locos.” This card game is played with a standard deck of cards, and its mechanics are very similar to those of Uno. In this game, the face cards and some numbered cards are assigned actions equivalent to those in Uno.
Who created the game Uno?
The original game was created by Merle Robbins, a barber from Ohio, in 1971. He and his family used to play cards as a pastime, and he eventually created his own game. Once it was finished, he began sharing it with his family and friends and eventually made it available for sale to the general public. In 1981, International Games purchased the rights for $50,000, and later, in 1993, Mattel acquired the rights as well.Today, UNO sales continue to grow year after year, and more than 50 versions of the game have been released. Some of the most popular versions on Minijuegos are: UNO Original, UNO Duo with Online Friends, UNO: 4 Colors, and UNO Heroes. In addition, UNO is believed to help develop fine motor skills in early childhood education, as well as teach children to recognize colors and numbers in a fun way. It also improves strategic skills and basic math skills.
