How to play Minecraft: Elytra Flight?

In Elytra Flight, the player assumes the role of an explorer or adventurer who possesses special wings, similar to Minecraft's elytra wings: folding wings that allow gliding and flying when jumping from a certain height. The environment is usually composed of wide and varied landscapes - mountains, cliffs, valleys, floating islands, ruins - with points of interest to reach by flying, which motivates the player to perfect his flight.

Glide between mountains, cross floating rings, dodge obstacles and master air currents to achieve the highest score. Every flight is a new adventure: overcome increasingly challenging courses, unlock unique sceneries and improve your wings to fly faster, higher and with greater precision.

Here are some tricks to fly in Elytra Flight:

  • Glide: Activate the wings from a certain height (or after a fall), and use flight/glide commands to glide through the air. Control can be relative to the camera: tilt down to gain speed, tilt up to brake, turn to change direction.
  • Altitude and speed control:
    • Descending causes speed to increase (gravity + tilt).
    • Climbing (or maintaining a high angle) reduces speed and consumes more energy or drag, if this system is applied.
    • There may be a minimum speed so as not to free fall, so that there is always at least some constant glide.
  • Obstacles and challenges:
    • Rings, portals or flying checkpoints to cross to score.
    • Elements of the environment that force you to maneuver with precision: narrow passages, rising or falling air currents, storms, wind, etc.
    • In some levels, objectives such as collecting objects while flying, racing against time, etc.
  • Durability / endurance:
    • Wings may have "endurance" that wears out with use, prolonged gliding, high speed, sudden maneuvers. If too much damage occurs, its effectiveness decreases or it is temporarily disabled.
    • Possible upgrade system: more resistant wings, aerodynamic improvements, accessories that improve control, etc.

After each flight or by completing challenges, wing upgrades are unlocked (more speed, better control, less penalties for falls, better angles, aesthetic customization).

Controls
  • VOLAR P1/P2
