Floating Sandbox

Floating Sandbox has no levels, missions, or specific objectives. It is a 2D physics simulator in which the player experiments with boats and observes how they react realistically to water, fire, explosions, and other types of damage.

Here’s how to play Floating Sandbox:

1. Choose a ship
   When you start the game, you can select one of the many available ships, ranging from small tugboats to large ocean liners and warships.
2. Place it in the water
   The ship will appear floating on the ocean. Thanks to the advanced physics engine, each vessel responds differently depending on its size, weight, and structure.
3. Use the destruction tools
   The fun begins when you use the various tools available. You can:
   • Drill holes in the hull to cause flooding.
   • Cut off parts of the ship. Place explosives.
   • Set different areas on fire.
   • Apply extreme heat.
   • Push the ship with great force.
   • Generate storms or alter sea conditions.
4. Watch the simulation at
   Water seeps in through the cracks; the ship loses stability and may split in two, catch fire, or even explode. Every element is calculated using a physics system that simulates buoyancy, structural deformation, and the spread of fire.
5. Try out
   There’s no “right” way to play. You can try to sink a ship as quickly as possible, test how much damage it can withstand before breaking apart, recreate famous maritime accidents, or simply enjoy watching the game’s physics in action.
