Wave Race

In Wave Race, you control a small arrow that moves on its own through narrow tunnels filled with spikes, walls, and gears, and your only job is to avoid touching anything. If you hold down the button, the arrow goes up; if you let go, it goes down. This back-and-forth motion creates a zigzagging path—like a wave—which gives the game its name. Anyone who has played the Wave mode in Geometry Dash will recognize the formula instantly.

The single-button control is its greatest strength: you’ll get the hang of it in two seconds, and anyone can start playing. There’s no room for error here, because any collision ends the game instantly. That harshness is what keeps you hooked. Each attempt is short, failing costs nothing, and you’ll always want to give it one more try.

The difficulty increases gradually. The first few levels help you get into the rhythm, but then the corridors narrow and the obstacle patterns become more twisted. In the difficult levels, you’ll die over and over again until you memorize each section, so it requires patience and a bit of frustration tolerance.

Wave Race Modes and Content

In addition to the level-based campaign, there’s an Endless mode, where you try to go as far as possible, and a Race mode, where you compete against other racers to cross the finish line first. This variety gives the game more longevity than you’d expect from such a simple game.
