Meccha Chameleon is a unique multiplayer game of hide-and-seek and camouflage in which you'll have to paint your own character to confuse your opponents. Here, you won’t transform into a box, a chair, or any other object in the scene: you’ll start with a white body and must mimic the colors of your surroundings to go unnoticed.

In each game, players are divided into Hiders and Seekers.

• If you’re a Hider, find a good spot, observe the walls, the floor, and the objects around you, and use the paint to blend your body into the background. Choose a pose that fits your hiding spot and make sure no one spots your silhouette.
• If you’re playing as a Seeker, you’ll have to do exactly the opposite: examine every corner, look for unusual colors, suspicious shapes, and small details that don’t fit in with the map. Will you be able to find all the camouflaged players before time runs out?

How does camouflage work in Meccha Chameleon?

Paint is the most important mechanic in Meccha Chameleon. Your character starts out completely white, and you can change its appearance to mimic the colors of the surfaces around you.

It’s not enough to just choose a single color. A good hiding spot may require you to combine different shades on your head, body, arms, and legs. Also pay attention to shadows and changes in lighting: a color that looks perfect from one angle might stand out when the seeker approaches from another direction.

After painting your character, strike a pose that helps break up its silhouette. The combination of position, color, and pose is essential for achieving convincing camouflage.

Hiders and Seekers: What Are the Differences?

Hiders are the players who must hide. During the preparation phase, they have to explore the map, find a suitable spot, and paint their bodies to blend in with the surroundings. Creativity can be just as important as the hiding spot you choose. L

Seekers are in charge of finding the hidden players. To win, they need to study the map carefully and spot any details that seem out of place. A strangely shaped wall, an unnatural color combination, or a suspicious silhouette can give away a Hider. Switching roles completely transforms the game: hiding requires creativity and patience, while searching puts your observational skills to the test.

How do you paint your character in Meccha Chameleon?

Before you start painting, study the area where you want to hide. Identify the main colors of the background and think about which parts of your character will be visible to the Seekers.
