ZIP is one of LinkedIn's daily mini-games: a quick logic puzzle (usually solved in less than a minute) in which you have to draw a single path on a grid.
What is the goal of ZIP?
To draw a single continuous line that:
- Passes through the numbers in ascending order: it starts at 1, then goes to 2, to 3… all the way to the last number.
- Goes through every square on the grid, passing through each one only once.
The puzzle is solved when the line reaches the final number and there are no empty squares left.
These are the rules of ZIP
- You can only move horizontally or vertically to adjacent squares. No diagonals.
- The line cannot cross itself or pass through a square that has already been used.
- You can pass through empty squares between one number and the next, but you cannot “skip” a number: when you reach any number, it must be the next one in the sequence.
