Forget about watching the clock and waiting for 6 a.m. to roll around—because in this game, time won’t save you! A Bite at Freddy’s is an outstanding, tense, and macabre point-and-click survival horror strategy game that pays a dark homage to Scott Cawthon’s Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) series. This game puts you in the shoes of Edward Bratch, a freelance mechanic trapped at Freddy Fazbear’s Grill during the night shift.
Your mission will be doubly stressful: you’ll have to keep the food delivery system running by sending dishes to the party rooms while simultaneously preventing a twisted cast of animatronics—inspired by a TV show—from sneaking into your office to kill you.
If you miss an order, the night will never end! This horror gem stands out primarily for doing away with the classic limited-battery mechanic. Instead, every defensive action you take will overload the building’s electrical system by a certain percentage. If you let the load reach 100%, the fuses will blow and the system will shut down completely, leaving you without cameras or defenses—and the animatronics will have a clear path to your desk. The tension will skyrocket as you progress through the levels, since each robot has a unique and devious attack pattern— from Talkshow Girl challenging you to a toy gun duel requiring millisecond reflexes, to the lethal Threadbear sabotaging your video screens and jamming the food conveyor belt.
This fun game was developed by the acclaimed Garrett McKay.
